bpall
Hey guys, im in MYP 5 right now and start DP/IB next year. I was wondering whether I should do Self Taught Psychology instead of an art. Im really bad at music and art, but im ok at theatre, but i dont really like it. Would it be better doing self taught psych instead of theatre? Edited November 19, 2019 by bpall Reply
Guest
It really depends on you as a person. We had the IB orientation yesterday and they explained that in order to take ANY self taught subject, you need to be very dedicated/motivated. This is partially due to the amount of freedom you get.. no one is there to control you, to get you back on track (as the number of lessons is limited). But if you're truly passionate, are a good organiser and good time manager, I don't see why not. Reply
David-Kokopuff
This may be late but I have done self-guided psych and for me there wasn't really a problem. The textbook does provide for an excellent resource but you need to be able to find a lot of others to develop a good understanding. There are a lot of resources out there but the support of the course load is difficult because there's no teacher to guide you Reply
