Drake02
For May 2020 results, did anyone else notice that their SL Math grade was much lower than their predicted? My SL math grade was 2 points lower than what was predicted, and I have never received a grade this low in any Math IB coursework. It’s not like I didn’t put much effort into my IA.....can anyone else relate? Reply

I'm not sure about everyone else but I got what I was predicted and if I am not wrong, the total scaled moderated mark for me was a safe distance from the lower boundary. I do know some people who did get lower than expected but I haven't heard of getting 2 points below. It may be because of your teacher's predicted mark and the IA together. If you ask your teachers, they may allow you to do the November exams for Math SL and see if you can get higher. AnanyaBhatt
The exact same thing has happened with me and all of my friends who take Maths SL, we all have almost consistently gotten 6s in our grades over the past 2 years and are ending up with 3s and 4s, and our IAs honestly aren't that bad either. I am most likely going to send maths among other subjects where I've gotten shocking results for remarking and considering how close you are to the upper grade you should too, because these aren't our grades.
