How do you deal with impending results days?

  1. 1. How do you deal with impending results days?

    • You relish them and view them as the culmination of all your hard work.
      7
    • Have so far pretended it's not happening, to great success.
      9
    • Can pretend it's not happening during the day, but are plagued by dreams of 24 (points, not the TV show) at night.
      11
    • Have spent and will continue to spend the remaining days doing a countdown in the foetal position, whilst shivering.
      7
    • You don't deal with them, you literally ignore it and simply never look at your results.
      2
    • You have nothing to worry about. So why even bother?
      3
    • You already know you screwed up, so it's a sort-of grim pre-acceptance already, actual results will change nothing.
      6
    • I am a genius. At the end of my paper I went back and added up all the correct marks, so a special day will simply be confirming what I already know to be true.

40+3= 43

Of course the result is very good, but since Cambridge demanded 42 and 777 HL I don't really know. Now some more waiting to be done :P I might also complain about my Finnish grade when I get the breakdown.

All I'm going to say is that I got my diploma, which is a shocker in itself. At least, to me. :P However, I won't post my individual marks, as they pale in comparison to those that everyone else on here received.

Congratulations, graduates!

Congrats, Max! That's probably the best I've ever heard.

I got a 6 in SL Psych, which is the only exam I've taken so far. I think I'm off to a pretty good start, maybe?

Swedish A1 SL - 7

English A2 HL - 7

French B HL - 6

History of Europe HL - 7

Chemistry SL - 6

Maths SL - 7

EE (Swedish A1) - A

ToK - C

Super disappointed about French; I've cried for hours. It was the one seven I was counting on, dammit! Really pleased with History, as I was sure I'd screwed up P2 completely. Very proud about my EE! Also happy ToK wasn't any lower - I was aiming for a C at a stretch, so. Plus I get into my university of choice!

Congratulations everybody. =)

4- French B SL

Not bad, I guess, for basically having to teach myself French since 9th Grade. Highest grade on the exam at my school, though.

2009 MAY MUSIC GR.PERF SL in ENGLISH 6

Honestly, completely surprised by this. It was my teacher's first year at our school, and his first teaching IB Music, and I didn't think that our recordings or MIs were as good as he thought they were! Yet our class ended up having 100% pass rate.

My friends and I had a sleepover to check our scores, which were posted 14.30 GMT (10.30 for us). 10.29-10.30 was probably the longest moment of our lives thus far!

Congratulations to all those who received the diploma!

all i can say is- most of my school screwed up this year.

it's unreal.

the place is so busy because they're all trying to sort everyone out.

the only thing i'm happy with is my highers atm.

especially philosophy HL, because i didn't start doing it until the second year; got a 6.

hello resits.

2009 MAY FRENCH B SL 7

I must say that I'm pretty happy about this. :( I left Paper 1 thinking it was pretty disastrous, but I'm happy about my mark! I wonder what my component marks were; I'm guessing the mark boundaries were pretty low because of that horrible paper. :P

Congrats to everybody on the forum, you guys did great!

Chem is super disappointing, gahhhh. I guess I didn't do as bad as I thought in math (after P1, thought I'd get 3 or 4 :P), and TOK/EE... well, wtf, they really are volatile.
