How do you deal with impending results days?

  1. 1. How do you deal with impending results days?

    • You relish them and view them as the culmination of all your hard work.
      7
    • Have so far pretended it's not happening, to great success.
      9
    • Can pretend it's not happening during the day, but are plagued by dreams of 24 (points, not the TV show) at night.
      11
    • Have spent and will continue to spend the remaining days doing a countdown in the foetal position, whilst shivering.
      7
    • You don't deal with them, you literally ignore it and simply never look at your results.
      2
    • You have nothing to worry about. So why even bother?
      3
    • You already know you screwed up, so it's a sort-of grim pre-acceptance already, actual results will change nothing.
      6
    • I am a genius. At the end of my paper I went back and added up all the correct marks, so a special day will simply be confirming what I already know to be true.

Man, I'm kind of embarrassed by my own results now since everyone here is apparently some kind of Super Student...

I'm not too proud of how I did in history...I guess my teacher kind of spoiled us, as all of his tests were multiple choice and I think we only started writing essays in about February, maybe March. I was expecting to do much worse in film; being the first class to test after the program got out of pilot stage was a little nerve-wracking, since there's less chance the graders will be gentle. Also, my teacher was an asshat. But still. At least I got my diploma, I don't really care that I didn't get any extra points from TOK or the EE.

Bit disappointed since I was predicted 7 in history, swedish and biology, but in the other hand I did not hope for more than a five in math since I had not studied it at all.

I am extremely disappointed with Chemistry and History - want to remark them and see if I can get a 6, at least in History. I am also considering remarking EE and TOK after I've seen the percentages I achieved because I so want a 40 haha.

I was just wondering; how can we find our component marks for each paper in each subject? I kinda wanna know to what extent my French Paper 1 was an utter failure, despite my mark in the end. :P I heard they're only released to the IBCs and we have to contact them to find out, and that they're supposed to be getting them on the 13th... I've sent off an e-mail to mine, but if they're somehow released elsewhere, then I hope I didn't just completely embarrass myself. :P

IB FRENCH B SL

INTERNAL ASSESSMENT (ORAL) - 24 - 6

PAPER ONE - 33 - 7

PAPER TWO - 25 - 6

This is just proof that the mark boundaries must've been pretty low this year. Aw, got marked down by moderation and I thought my Paper 2 mark was going to be better, but I'm wholly surprised with my Paper 1 mark - I was pretty sure I epic failed that one! :P

I did pretty bad on P1, haha. 28/40. P2 was much better though, considering how much crap I made up. Overall, my marks were very similar to yours, but your P1 made all the difference. Probably 3-4 marks away from a 7, if only if only... :D
