What do you want to be when you grow up?

but if i got to really choose what i want to do, i'd go for journalist or an english professor. journalism being top, of course. you get to both write and take pictures! and travel, too :( but i hear very heartbreaking stories of journalists who go through a lot when they're responsible for sensitive topics. i might be one of them, if i ever make it to being a journalist :\ maybe after spending a few years as a journalist, i'd like to be editor-in-chief :)

archaeologist sounds good too.

My mom knows a photojournalist like this, he's now a wedding and graduation photographer. He used to be a war journalist in Gaza for several years, but he couldn't do it anymore after seeing some pretty gruesome things happen in front of his eyes. I wanted to be a war journalist before, but then again, lying in the sand wearing a bullet-proof vest with bullets flying over my head isn't how I want to die. I might change my mind though.

Genuinely, tall.

Is this post heightist or something?

I'd quite like to be somebody who gets to retire early, whatever I end up doing. No clue what I'd really desperately like to do (except for do it well enough to retire early). Then I'm going to go and live on an island, preferably near Greece, and divide my days between reading, sailing, sleeping, eating, drinking and socialising :) The ultimate perk of early retirement.

All the way up until I was in like grade 7 I knew I was going to be a vet. Then grade 8 hit and I was like "FORENSICS!" Then that stuck around for a while. Now currently it is leaning towards forensics and abnormal psychology. I would keep an open mind towards pathology though. AH, all the things I want to do. *Whimper* I don't want to grow up.

I'm pretty undecided now. I'd like to study either Law or Politics/IR. Law as a subject interests me more and I could work as a solicitor but then again I don't know if that is something I'd really enjoy. My work will be good, clean office work anyway.

Your subject choices offer you a good range of fields which you may or may not decide to pursue. SO it's all good :P. You have time, you have the wit, you have the charisma, you have the awesome ScandinavianISM. And as you can obviously tell the latter will get you the furthest :P

I'd really like to go to uni in the UK or US to study neuroscience and then eventually become a neurologist.

I know Princeton has a good neuroscience course (I know i have big dreams...)but who knows... i would be just as happy at a uni with lower standards too so long as they offer a good neuroscience course...

But i'll keep hoping for that letter of acceptance from Princeton...(or Cambridge wouldn't be bad either...)

Anyway i am sure of one thing though... i REALLY want to become a neurologist and then have like my own private practice (that would be cool!)

I will throw in lovely phrases in Swedish and Finnish and charm both university admission tutors and job interviewers - it is damn good to be Scandinavian

But yeah, that's pretty much the reason I made my subject choices, I can do pretty much anything that isn't a natural science, whoo
