qwerty111
I am in the drafting process of my paper and I've been using footnotes after using arguments that I've gotten from other sources. So far, I'm up to 1912 words with 36 footnotes and 425 words are from footnotes (I know footnotes are not included in the word count, it's just to give you an idea of how much it is).I know this question is stupid but it seems to me that I'm doing something wrong, considering that I remember seeing other examples with only like 20 of them throughout the paper. Can anybody shed some light on this please? sweetnsimple786
What are you saying in your footnotes? As far as I know, you're fine as long as you're not adding new, pertinent information in the footnotes. Reply
master135
My extended essay (economics) had 43 footnotes in the end for approx 4000 words. As long as you aren't sneaking too much info into them you should be fine Reply

sweetnsimple786
That's good then! I guess you're intertwining multiple, different sources throughout the 1900 words you've composed so far. Just as long as you're explaining and using the quotations to back up your argument rather than only commenting on the quotations, you should be fine. =) Reply
Tilia
You know that explanations in a footnote are included in teh word count? But if you only have references in your footnotes it's not a problem,There are other things you should be more worried about, such as the overall word count Reply
