Paper 2 Preparation

Read up your novels carefully, mark and learn quotes that you think might be important. Read up into the motifs and themes, and make sure you know them in and out so that you can refer to them when necessary. Make sure you know the context right, as in the timeline of the novel and do a lot of online research as well. There's a lot of good stuff online.

^^ Definitely learn quotes as Aboo suggested, because it's essential you incorporate them into your final essay.

Another idea would be to go through past papers and you'll spot that the same sorts of themes crop up all the time - for instance "beginnings and endings", "setting" etc. You'll spot them all in the past papers. Ideally you'd be able to do a brain storm for each novel/play/whatever for all of the big themes which keep cropping up and then when you get into the exam whatever comes up can't be too far off what you've already been over, and you'll be able to re-think the points pretty easily, as well as know which novels to go for and which probably won't fit the question so well.
