I'm trying to come up with a question for my EE but i'm finding it difficult to pick one

I will be writing my EE in French about North Africans living in France

Does this question sound suitable enough;

Has France had a positive impact on influencing the culture of second-generation arabs living in France?

1. The title of the thread is too broad.

2. I think you should look into both positive and negative effects of the event. Also, if you are writing an EE in a different language, is it your Group 1 or Group 2 language? Because this does matter quite a lot. Take a look at the EE guide at first before writing the essay or even before coming up with a question:

Unless you're taking French as your A1 language, your essay subject will be Group 2, which will work just fine with your topic.

I think if your research question is about the positives and negatives, it'll be too broad. I might do something like To what extent have second generation Arabs living in France been affected positively [or negatively] due to French culture/norms.
