Asheee
Hello everyone!I've got my Biology exam in a couple of days and was just wondering does anybody know what shade of pencil we have to use for paper 1?Thanks Reply
Sandwich
Any sort of pencil I expect. You can be pretty safe with anything on the B side of HB (and very safe with an HB.. can't go wrong with the ultimate standard pencil!!) -- but I did mine with a 2H pencil and provided you make strong enough marks for it to be computer-read (which you can test easily on a piece of paper just looking at it) that's all that's required. 1 Reply
Mahuta ♥
They do 'theoratically' specify a type of pencil, but seriously, no one really follows that. I did some of mine with a lead mecanical pencil like the 'cushi' one. 1 Reply
Asheee
Thanks for your fast replies I think I'll just go for the HB. Trust the IB to be picky with pencil types Reply
Bee =3
the ones that are unnecessarily (?) picky with pencils are the SATs. I never understood the difference between a 2H/HB and a mechanical pencil that has HB leadcan anybody tell me?? Reply
Mahuta ♥
Slightly off topic, but here:Pencil gradesPencils Reply
sweetnsimple786
I guess it depends on your proctors. They always warn you, but as long as you make your answers dark enough, anything's fair game. I use mechanical pencils. It is kinda a risk though, I guess.
