IB Math SL Exam questions answered on Youtube

Here are some links to videos that I've put up on Youtube in order to help students prepare for their IB Math SL exams. I've been teaching IB for a number of years, and wanted to find a way to help students - not just my own, but anyone.

Here I decided to make videos showing detailed answers to every question from the past IB Math SL exam, May 2006, Paper 1, Time Zone 1. I'll be putting up paper 2 later on, and plan to also do a Physics HL paper in the same way.

Question 1 (matrices)

Question 2 (probability)

Question 3 (transformations of functions)

Question 4 (normal distributions)

Question 5 (calculus - derivatives)

Question 5 (continued)

Question 6 (quadratic equations)

Question 7 (compositions of functions)

Question 8 (mean, median, mode)

Question 9 (simultaneous equations with matrices)

Question 10 (logarithms)

email and website link have been removed, if you could post the youtube videos in links it would be more useful to the users on IBS as they can just click play and see them on here.

Note to everyone: do not post your email publically on the forum, please read the rules and FAQ before posting.

Hi again, everyone. I received a message from the IB saying that I need to take down my videos since they show IB exam questions. I had to comply with their request, and so I'm sorry to say that the exam videos are gone. :P

However, this actually frees me up to do something I've been thinking about for a while now: I'm starting a new thread where students can post a request for a particular topic within the IB curriculum. Then depending on what responses there are, I'll sit down and do a set of videos for that topic.

-It's too bad that I had to take down the videos, but this can turn into a good thing - you can now request specific topics for help and I'll be able to target my videos to what you'd like to learn. My goal here is to help you out!

Mitch
