alis0nxxoh
Hi, I am doing the question "We see and understand things not as they are but as we are." Discuss this claim in relation to at least two ways of knowing. I have decided to go along the lines of sense perception and emotion. I am having a lot of trouble finding a good anchoring example for emotion affecting our understanding...any ideas? I am thinking of something psych related but I cannot think of a good study Reply
Peachez
Well, emotions blind us and hence the choices that we make every day are usually resulted by what our emotions have 'told' us. You could get into ethics and how it effects us. For example, moral judgements (societal norms vs. emotions). I think that would be a good point to make in your TOK essay. You could also link emotion to science and how some could "make up" statistics because one point on a graph was off, so they felt that it was wrong and thought i t would be better to omit it.
