Sparkling
I don't want to do my essay in Swedish A1 because I can't seem to find a Swedish book I would like to analyse and I don't want to do the English A2 alternative because I just don't want to. Is it possible for me to do my EE in English A1 then? Reply
sweetnsimple786
The EE Guide says It is intended that students should not submit a group 1 extended essay in their group 2 language. So, no. But you're allowed to do a literature-y essay in Group 2. I don't know how it's different from Group 1 except you don't have to write as well, I guess. Why don't you want to do Group 2? [Group 1 is A1, Group 2 is A2/B] Reply
Max
Even though it is not recommended, you can write your EE in a subject you don't take (i.e. English A1 in your case). Just ask your IBC and see what he/she says. Edited January 10, 2010 by Max Reply
