History IA

Recommended Posts

Hi, i just have a question. When I got to choose my question for my History IA i came across with content that we had studied in class. So, my question is can I make a topic even though Its in the curriculum. My Topic deals with the Weimar Republic. Thankyou for your time.

Yes you can, what it is essential for your IA is that you can source it so if you do the whole shibang : origin, purpose, value limitation and you relate that to your coursework you'll be fine. Besides doing something in the syllabus is a + since you'll know that part extra well :P

I would go so far as to say that it is one of the best possible approaches to take. My history teacher told us that the IA should be done on something from the syllabus, because it will give you an advantage going into the exam.

my teacher told me to do the IA on something ur learning in ur class,

and if ur doing ur EE on history, then somehow do similar topics

but make sure ur not caught using sources that the teacher provided, they'll kill u

teacher told me that one of his students only used sources provided from him

so the student got a 3 for not doing research
