Survival Robot
With most subjects they only fluctuate about 1 or 2 marks each year, so these should be a good guide. To note, though, mark boundaries to science subjects and maths often vary a lot from year to year. If you have newer boundaries, please post them here so they can be added to the list. Mr. Shiver
Many of the May 2008 grade boundaries can be found here: http://www.sevenoaksschool.org/client_file...ries%202008.pdf Only grade boundaries used in Time Zone 2 are here for subjects with more than one version of the exam (such as Math SL/HL, Biology, and Physics). It's the same test for everyone, so the scaling is based on the performance of the WHOLE world. However, different timezone tests (like in math) will have different grade boundaries, since the questions are different. This is why an American's paper 1 score of 85 points might be a seven and an Australian would get only a 6 for it. Reply

I don't get it.The November papers are easier for some reason. There are more people that take the ones in May, so they are harder. Grade boundaries are therefore higher for the November papers (though only slightly). That's actually a good reason to do retakes, when you think of it Edited January 2, 2009 by Vvi Reply
deissi
Even if it's the same session (i.e. the same May session), the Australian would have a different extract than the one that the American has for Eng A1 P1. Therefore, they also have separate mark boundaries. Reply

Sponge123
I know that this is a bit of a strange request, but does anybody know where I can find the mark boundaries for May 2000 exams, particulary French B SL Paper One? We did this as a practise in class, and the teacher could not find the mark boundaries, so he used an alternate formula for assigning marks that marked us down on average about 1.5-2 points from what we should have gotten. If I can show him the mark boundaries, he may change them. Thanks in advance for your help. Reply
